"We love finding these local craft distilleries because they do things different than the big corporate distillery and Star Union Spirits is no exception. It's obvious they take great pride in their products and it shows in the results.
Their 75-25 Whiskey is very good but I personally think their Bottled-in-Bond Rye is one of the best rye whiskeys I've had. The higher proof gives it a punch that makes you pay attention and the long pepper finish reminds you why everyone should love drinking a good rye. Full disclosure- I did end up buying a bottle of each for my home bar.
I also want to thank the bartender for being creative with building a grapefruit vodka cocktail and the owner for taking the time to give us an in-depth tour and tell us history about the history of the place.
Highly recommend as a destination for a day trip or just stop by an impromptu happy hour."
